Inviting Team Members

Collaborate with your team by inviting colleagues to help manage feedback on your projects.

Overview

Feedbackview's team collaboration features allow you to invite team members to work together on feedback management. Each invited member receives specific permissions based on their role, ensuring secure and organized collaboration.

Sending Invitations

Step 1: Access Team Management

  1. Navigate to your project dashboard
  2. Click on the "Team" tab in the sidebar navigation
  3. Click the "Invite Member" button in the top right

Step 2: Configure the Invitation

Email Address

Enter the email address of the person you want to invite. They'll receive a professional invitation email with instructions to join your project.

Role Selection

Choose the appropriate role for this team member:

Admin: Can manage project settings, invite team members, and access all feedback
Member: Can view, manage and respond to feedback

Step 3: Send the Invitation

Click "Send Invitation" to dispatch the email. The recipient will receive a professionally designed email with:

  • Project name and your contact information
  • Their assigned role and permissions
  • Secure invitation link

Invitation Acceptance

For Existing Users

If the invitee already has a Feedbackview account, they can click the invitation link to immediately join your project. They'll be automatically redirected to your project dashboard with their assigned permissions.

For New Users

New users will be prompted to create an account during the invitation acceptance process. Once they sign up, they'll automatically join your project with the assigned role.

Managing Invitations

Pending Invitations

The Team Management page shows all pending invitations with:

  • Recipient email address and assigned role
  • Option to cancel invitations (for admins and owners)

Invitation Status

Pending: Invitation sent, waiting for acceptance
Accepted: User has joined the team (moves to active members)
Expired: Invitation link has expired after 7 days

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Invitation Not Received

If the invitee doesn't receive the email:

  • Check spam/junk folders
  • Verify the email address is correct
  • Resend the invitation from the team management page

Expired Invitation

Invitations expire after 7 days for security. If an invitation has expired, simply send a new one from the team management page.
